Reviews for Workshop spaces in Los Angeles, CA

Rachel was super accommodating and the space was perfect and so clean. Easy and quick communication to book. I had just under 15 guests come for a baking class and we fit comfortably in the space. They offer tables and chairs. I had my own but requested for just 1 table and it was set up ready when I arrived. Plenty of street parking. Highly recommend!

I rented this space for a sound bath & cacao ceremony on a Sunday afternoon. The communication leading up to the rental was very clear and responsive :) The space is beautiful and well decorated. Very clean. The ability to leave the slide up door ajar for fresh air was really great. I don’t think I’d do this type of event here again as there was alot of noise from the street and neighbors, although if noise is no big deal the space is awesome. I would absolutely book with Melissa again as she was wonderful!!!

Perfect space for our workshop event! Amy and her team were so helpful and fabulous, it made the day (and days leading up to it!) run super smoothly for me and my guests. Highly recommend!

I would definitely book the space again! This industrial test kitchen was way more spacious than I expected. There were a few extra lights that made the video quality better, and the kitchen was huge and had a lot of different utensils to use. The staff was very friendly and welcoming too!

We had an incredible experience hosting our class/meeting here. Michael and Amanda have created an inspiring space, and they were thoughtful and generous throughout the process. Would definitely recommend Versailles to anyone looking for a special place!

First of all, Dylan is such a great host! I asked to visit the place ahead of time, and without hesitation…he said yes! The day of, I asked if I could use some extra space/ chairs, again without hesitation he said yes. I love the space! It was neat and equipped with necessary furnitures to host meetings/ classes. Rest rooms were very clean as well! I give Dylan and his space more than 5 stars if I could! I’ll definitely book with him again!
Antonio E.

Great space! The location around the venue ain't too bad either. A couple blocks away you have upscale hotels. There are food joints in the area. The venue itself is great. If you're hosting a workshop here like I did having the windows open helps with the echo in the room otherwise just fill the space with more people.

About Los Angeles

Sprawling between mountains and golden beaches in Southern California, Los Angeles is one of the most well-known cities in the world. It’s not only the home of Hollywood and Disneyland but also outstanding museums and architectural icons that have been depicted countless times on the big and small screens.

Los Angeles’ creative community is second to none, which is why the city is such a popular destination for holding workshops and retreats. From pottery and painting classes to yoga and pilates workshops or training in the beauty industry, the enviable weather and diverse event venues in L.A. make it an ideal workshop setting throughout the year.

Workshop Options in Los Angeles

Once you’ve booked your workshop venue in Los Angeles, it’s time to start thinking about the vendors and teachers you should hire to make it a reality.

  • Caterers
Need to provide some sustenance during your workshop? Los Angeles caterers and restaurants can be of assistance, whether you’re after simple snacks or multi-course meals.
  • Photographers
Capture the essence of what it is like to attend one of your workshops with the help of a professional photographer. They’ll document all of the moments and memories so you can share them on your social media channels and promote your next workshop.
  • Equipment rental
Whether you need tables and chairs, sound and audio gear, or yoga mats and blocks, Los Angeles equipment rental companies have everything you need. You can rent them just for a day or an entire week, depending on the duration of your event.

  • Decor
Create an inviting space for your workshop participants with the help of a little decor, whether it’s flowers, potted plants, or artworks. If you don’t want to invest in purchasing your own, you can opt to rent instead or borrow from family and friends.
  • Teachers
Integral to the success of your workshop is the quality of the teachers who are there to impart their knowledge and wisdom. With Los Angeles’ thriving creative community, you’ll find no shortage of teachers, no matter what type of workshop you are hosting.

Pros and Cons of Workshops in Los Angeles

There are plenty of advantages to hosting a workshop in Los Angeles (not least its glorious weather). But there are a few drawbacks that you should consider before taking the plunge.

Advantages

  • Large and diverse population
Los Angeles boasts a huge population and attracts people from all corners of the globe, which means you’ll have a diverse community to draw on when it comes to prospective participants.
  • Diversity of venues
There’s an abundance of venues in Los Angeles to choose from, including mid-century homes, light-filled industrial spaces, and peaceful ranches, so you can find the space that reflects your taste and style.
  • Experienced teachers
Searching for craftspeople, yogis, or beauty professionals? With Los Angeles’ creative community, you’ll be able to find teachers in all industries to make your workshop a success.
  • Convenient transport options
Flights from all over the world arrive at Los Angeles International Airport, which means you can market your workshop to people from out-of-state and overseas without having to worry about their travel logistics.

  • Favorable weather
One of Los Angeles’ biggest draws is its beautiful weather, with a large number of sunny and rain-free days compared to most cities in the United States. This means you’re not limited to indoor workshop venues but can utilize outdoor spaces as well.

Disadvantages

  • High costs of living
As one of the most expensive places to live in the United States, Los Angeles is far from being the cheapest place to hold a workshop when it comes to catering and rental costs.
  • Traffic
The city’s traffic issues are no secret, and getting from one side of town to the other can be a drawn out process during the rush hours. This is something to keep in mind when selecting your L.A. venue, particularly in terms of its location relative to accommodation.
  • Parking
While certain neighborhoods have worse parking problems than others, this is an issue throughout the Greater Los Angeles area and something to be aware of when deciding on your location.
  • Competition
Los Angeles is already a popular place to hold workshops and retreats, so you may have competition from others in the same industry and will have to market your event well to attract participants.

Famous Locations in Los Angeles

  • The Getty
Famed for its striking modern architecture and picturesque gardens, The Getty is one of Los Angeles’ most well-known art museums. Its collection includes everything from Roman sculptures to European paintings and contemporary photographic works, accompanied by sweeping views across the city.

  • Rodeo Drive
This prominent street in Beverly Hills is renowned for its designer boutiques, with names such as Louis Vuitton, Versace, and Dior all represented here. It’s also synonymous with the 1990 rom-com Pretty Woman, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, whose characters stay at the Beaux Arts-style Regent Beverly Wilshire.

  • Point Dume
Need to escape the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles? Point Dume is a picturesque promontory that can be accessed along the Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu. Keep your eyes peeled for sea lions and whales while walking along its dramatic cliffs, then take a dip in the Pacific Ocean from nearby Zuma Beach.
