Brenda and her family were so accommodating to our crew for a short film. From the initial scout throughout the filming day, she was attentive, kind, and excited to help us make our short film come to life. I would absolutely go back in a heartbeat.

It was a great space and the staff was excellent!!! Definitely would love to rent it again

Farah’s apartment is pretty much turnkey for film production. Her beautiful taste and willingness to leave her personal items out gives the place a gorgeous but homey, lived-in look with zero production design effort. On top of that Farah was a pleasure to deal with, very prompt to respond to requests, and forgiving of set faux pas like spilling coffee. She even put up with a very long and detailed tech scout. The space is tight but worth it. Highly recommended!

Where to begin! We absolutely loved not only the amazing decor of the apartment, the layout of the place with different levels, great different areas and amazing patio and two massive bedrooms but also working with the owner Jarrett. He went above and beyond to work with us on this shoot and we couldn't have wished for a better place to shoot a music video in. Everything production wise worked out perfectly reg electricity, internet and storage, we were able to use the garage for load in and had our crafty set up in there as well. I can highly recommend shooting here, the place really delivered on everything we hoped it would be and more!

We had a last minute music video shoot and Topher's studio was perfect: The space is exactly as advertised, spacious, clean, and accessible to mass transit. Topher was accessible throughout our reservation and extended the best hospitality. Will definitely book this space again.

Owner was easy to work with and knowledgeable about the questions we had regarding the building. Lots of small props and furniture to use in the house. Great older looking location with lots of great rooms to use. Parking space for a truck, and very quite neighborhood. Would highly recommend this location if you like the photos!

Planning Your Rustic Wedding in New York

Putting together an event as grand as a wedding requires careful and strategic planning. This guide is your starting point to create the wedding of your dreams.

Have the Ceremony Outdoors Nature's beauty is the true essence of a rustic celebration; it would be a shame not to host the ceremony outside, at least. The stunning surroundings will create amazing wedding photos to cherish forever.

Organize Accommodations For rustic wedding venues outside the city, ensure there are enough rooms available for overnight stays. You can block out rooms at nearby hotels, book inns or cabins, or even explore on-site lodging options to keep your guests close to the celebration.

Don't Forget the Decorations In addition to the natural beauty of your venue, decorations are essential for creating the perfect rustic ambiance. Burlap, lace, twinkling fairy lights, and vintage items are classic staples in almost every rustic wedding decor.

Get Creative with the Menu Most wedding venues feature on-site catering, and some even offer a chef's table experience. No matter the venue, you want to create a menu that complements your rustic wedding theme. From al fresco farm-to-table feasts to wood-fired pizza and interactive food stations, your guests will surely appreciate the creativity.

How to Save Money on Your Rustic Wedding in New York

When people think of a New York wedding, one word usually comes to mind: expensive. And while it's true the city isn't known for being cheap, that doesn't mean you can't celebrate without overspending. Here are some simple ways to keep your wedding budget-friendly.

Take advantage of wedding packages.

When planning a wedding for a large group of guests, time and money are always scarce. Fortunately, many rustic wedding venues offer essentials like catering, rentals, and other amenities. Taking advantage of these options could save you lots of money compared to booking each vendor separately.

Be flexible with your date.

It's no secret that weekend weddings— especially Saturdays—tend to cost more. If your heart isn't set on a specific date, consider booking your venue for a weekday to unlock savings on everything from venues to vendors.

Reduce your guest list.

New York wedding venues can fit big crowds, but inviting fewer people helps you save money. A smaller wedding with your closest friends and family can still be just as special—and more affordable.
