House exactly as described and photos accurate BUT in reality house even better. Lots of bright natural light and wonderful modern design. Kitchen Ink Publishing rented the house for a photoshoot for our new books and kids kitchen accessories. We photographed in the kitchen and living room, Paul was easy to work with and we look forward to scheduling our next shoot. I highly recommend this location.

The space is great for the older 90s office vibe. Smaller crew is preferred here. Claudia the site manager was great to work with and good with communication. The office is on the smaller side, but fit my needs for a photo shoot. Wouldn't do a large photo/film production here. Talk about parking beforehand, to prevent confusion. For my shoot I had to wind up doing meter parking.

Patrick and Bonnie are the best. Five stars! The property is very beautiful and special - it's received awards from the Mayor of the city of LA. To boot, they are both very relaxed and accommodating, Patrick even went looking for costumes and a steamer for us when we ran into production hiccups. Thanks again!

Great location. Amazing value for money. The neighborhood is very sensitive and parking is tough, so you need a base camp / parking far away. Need to work closely with Permit office.

Pros and Cons of Photo Shoots in Santa Fe

Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a popular destination for photoshoots, offering many unique and beautiful locations to capture stunning images. However, there are both advantages and disadvantages to holding a photoshoot in Santa Fe that should be considered before planning your shoot. Here are some of the top advantages and disadvantages of hosting a photoshoot in Santa Fe:

Advantages

  • From colorful sunsets to vibrant mountain ranges, Santa Fe offers a variety of different landscape and cityscape backdrops that no other city can match.

  • Photographers will find all of the necessary amenities that they need for their shoot within the city limits. This includes places like studios, equipment rental stores, and more.

  • Santa Fe is known for being an affordable place to hold a photo shoot compared to other major cities throughout the country.

Disadvantages

  • Due to its high elevation and desert climate, Santa Fe often experiences unpredictable weather conditions, which can make it difficult to plan shoots around certain times of the year.

  • As one of the most visited cities in New Mexico, space can be at a premium during peak tourist season, and you'll likely encounter traffic congestion around popular shooting spots.

  • The cost associated with flying into or staying in Santa Fe can be costly, depending on where you’re coming from or where you’d like to stay during your trip.

Tips on How to Organize Photo Shoots

Santa Fe is a beautiful city with plenty of photoshoot locations to offer. However, organizing a shoot here can be daunting since there are so many options to choose from. To make things easier, here are a few tips on how to organize your event in Santa Fe:

  • Decide the look you're going for: Do you want urban shots with brick walls and graffiti or rural shots with adobe buildings and desert landscapes? Narrowing down your style will help you eliminate locations that won't work for your shoot.

  • Research ideal locations: Once you've decided on a general style, start doing some research on specific locations. Google is your friend here. Try searching for "photography locations in Santa Fe" or "Santa Fe shooting locations." You can also check out local photography blogs and forums for recommendations.

  • Pay attention to details: When you've compiled a list of potential locations, it's time to start narrowing them down. First, consider the logistics of each location - is it easy to get to, and is there enough space for your crew and equipment? Next, take a look at the light - is the location well-lit, or will you need to bring additional lighting? Finally, think about the overall ambiance of each location - does it fit with the mood you're trying to create for your shoot?

  • Visit potential locations: Once you've narrowed down your list to a few final contenders, it's time to start scouting them out in person. This will help you get a feel for the space and make sure that it meets all of your requirements.

  • Plan your shoot: Make sure to arrive early to set up, and take into consideration any permit requirements or other restrictions that might be in place. And most importantly - have fun!
