Quaint Lakeside Cape Cod with Stunning Views & Dock/Water Access The home is a spacious Americana-style construction with a lake just footsteps away in the charming neighborhood of Malibou Lake. Abundant white walls and plentiful natural light keep the interiors beautifully lit. The great room boasts high ceilings and large windows with shiplap throughout. The entire upper floor can be made accessible, giving you and your crew multiple staging areas for equipment, makeup, or craft services while the sunny exterior deck gives fantastic vantages of the entire lake. The home's primary selling point is the natural beauty surrounding it - wide shots can take in the mountainous background while close ups can frame sun drenched scenes on a canoe as golden honey light dapples through the trees. Spring and summer months bring an explosion of blossoms in the backyard, while the rest of the exterior contains multiple little pockets ready to be staged or tailored to your needs - like a small firepit lounge, a vine covered gazebo, or a jasmine draped archway to name a few. Many watercraft (see price chart below) from paddle boards to pontoon boats can also be made available to you for a small fee. The location is within the Los Angeles County line but feels miles away from the city, nestled neatly away in the Santa Monica Mountains. No permit is necessary but a site rep is required by the neighborhood bylaws to ensure the shoot goes smoothly and to help field any on site questions you may have. Please note that late fall and winter (late November to February), the leaves are more sparse on the trees and the scenery is less green overall. It is still beautiful, but it won't look the same as the photos. Also, the water level is lower around September/October and returns to normal around November. From April to August, there are also many geese around so you may hear them often.
