About the Space
Gorgeous Farm Setting with Alpacas, Horses, Donkeys & Gardens High on a hilltop in the historic Hudson Valley, Faraway Farm is home to award-winning alpacas, Icelandic Horses, donkeys, and extensive organic gardens. Just 40 miles north of New York City, the farm is often used by photographers and film makers for fashion shoots, magazines, online content, family & wedding photography, theater companies, music videos and television shows. We have a wide variety of beautiful settings throughout our 13 acres: multiple barns, meadows, animal pastures, groves, stone walls, gardens, flower fields, swimming pool, etc. Our farm is easily accessible from New York city and we are able to accommodate a creative variety of photo shoots and filming. I rented the farm for a menswear photo campaign and it exceeded all expectations. Leda could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She understands the needs of a production and made sure we had everything we needed even down to sending options for catering ahead of time. The farm was beautiful and serene. The photos in the listing do not do it justice. There was a lot of variety in spaces that we could shoot, and Leda accommodated us shooting with the horses and their mule. I will absolutely be hiring the farm again!

Moreover, the team went above and beyond to understand our goals and helped us realise them. The shoot went smoothly with their assistance, and the results were terrific. In terms of location, it's arguably the best shooting spot in New York. The picturesque setting and the beautiful alpacas and horses added charm to our shoot. This place was so amazing and looks even better in person!!!. Ms Leda and Steve are amazing hosts and where so accommodating, and helpful every step of the day. The animals were beautiful and you could see that they are treated with love, which only makes this place ever so magical. The location had great props ever where and even a farm store which was so useful for holding, talent and crew. Such an amazing place, I hope to shoot there again in the future!!

Leda and Steve were amazing hosts! Their venue is just as amazing as the pictures, if not more. We got everything we needed and the shots we took were one of our best. Leveret Clothing booked our Christmas photoshoot here in November. We sincerely recommend the Hudson Valley Alpaca Farm! Leda and the crew at the farm are incredibly kind and helpful. They showed us around the farm, allowed us to photograph the animals, and also allowed us to use any farm props needed to best match our vision for the photoshoot. The space is absolutely beautiful and if you are looking to book with Leda + Hudson Valley Alpaca Farm, you will not regret it!
