I rented this property for a bridal shower and brunch. The house is beautiful and was enjoyed by all. I would have rated it 5 stars but upon arrival the pool was full of tree debris, loungers were covered and umbrellas were down. Also the outdoor bar was locked. I requested to be able to drop off some decor ahead of time and was quoted an outrageous sum. Also the access code was sent very last minute adding to my stress. Guests enjoyed it but next time I would just book in a restaurant. Loved the Christmas decor.

All About Renting a Festival Venue

Coachella, Mardi Gras, and New Year's Eve in Times Square, New York, are among the annual festivals you can attend in the United States. Central Park hosts the SummerStage and August Filmfest, while Midtown Manhattan is the setting for the annual Strawberry Festival. Musical legends grace the Jersey City Jazz Festival, and it should now be apparent that music festivals are integral to life as we know it.

Every global city becomes a massive stage for grand events, including birthday parties, corporate events, and holiday parties. You can attend a hip-hop show hosted at a top entertainment spot in New York or an expo in a historic building. Giggster bridges the gap, connecting event hosts to find festival venues in most cities.

Start browsing our 10000 event spaces to rent the perfect venue for your upcoming festival.

Why Choose Giggster to Rent a Festival Venue

Giggster can help you choose an ideal festival space, whether you are planning a music, art, or corporate event. Explore our festival spaces to book a top location like Entire Vintage House with porch and garage.

  • While most are usually outdoor events, indoor festivals promise an unforgettable experience. Depending on the specific function, consider popular nightclubs with dance floors.

  • A warehouse is an excellent indoor music festival space. There are many options, including converted options that usually mirror entertainment spots and raw or bare warehouses, which provide flexibility to transform them into your ideal venue.

  • Search for a coffee shop with a quality sound system for a mini-concert. The intimate atmosphere favors emerging artists or established creatives hosting exclusive fan experiences. Many also provide in-house catering, among other amenities.

  • A rooftop lounge is a perfect space for a cocktail reception and can host musical experiences and other events. As an event venue, it has indoor and outdoor areas that can easily accommodate mid-sized groups.

Incredible Festival Venues Start at $19/hour

Exceptional Variety & Quality: Browse our festival venues to find the right location for your next event. We can link you up with a museum, stately house, concert hall, or a loft overlooking Central Park at just $19/hour.

Hassle-Free Booking: We make finding event venues in New York and other locations easy with a search filter that narrows your options. You can also contact the host on chat to ask for clarifications about the venue and a custom rate.

24-Hour Free Cancellation Policy: If you need to adjust or cancel, we won't charge you if it is within 24 hours of confirmation and your event is 48 hours away.

Platform Protections: A festival is a high-stakes function, so protect your event from liabilities and damages with Giggster's optional platform protection plans.

The Best Events for a Festival Location

Giggster can help you rent venues in New York, Jersey City, and other global cities. Here are suggestions based on the locations on the listings on our site to help you rent a space with room for your attendees or a venue with in-house vendors.

  • Concert Halls – Music Festivals. A concert hall is naturally the best setting for a music festival. It has perfect acoustics, lighting, and auditorium-style seating. Many also feature reception areas and restaurants, among other amenities.

  • Outdoor Event Spaces – Different Types of Performances. Gardens, parks, terraces, and rooftop locations can host art festivals and music performances. These flexible spaces can accommodate massive crowds and have varied layouts.

  • Ranch Venues – Food Festivals. A reach location is ideal for a food festival. The serene setting provides a tranquil retreat, and the space can hold many attendees, food trucks, and other event necessities.

  • Conference Centers – Fan Conventions. Besides hosting business events, conference centers create a backdrop for comic book fan conventions. They have multiple spaces you can book separately for various gatherings.

  • Museums – Art Expos. A museum is a flexible setting for art expos and related events. Its design mirrors an art gallery, and there are many rooms you can rent independently for different events.

Festival Location Must-Haves

Organizing music festivals requires effort to produce the desired results. Finding the best venue to stage the show tops the list, and Giggster can connect you with a wide array. Browse our listings to explore top venues in New York and other cities. Here is a list of location must-haves to help you identify the best festival venue for your event.

Can the space accommodate your event? Festival venues have varying capacities and can host different events. Many outdoor venues can hold music events, but they'll need rentals to create changing rooms and backstage play areas. Similarly, a pub works for music shows but might not be the best backdrop for an art festival.

Does the event venue have quality sound systems? Sound matters when planning a large-scale event, especially a music function. The acoustics should be right, or you'll need to rent sound equipment and hire a technician. The best way to be sure is by performing a sound check early enough.

What amenities and services set the venue apart from the rest? Some features that set a venue apart are concession stands with readily available vendors, on-site parking, and enough restrooms to accommodate attendees. Pre-built stages with installed lighting systems also help reduce the planning load.

Pros and Cons of Festivals

A lot goes into organizing a music festival; even the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair had its challenges before becoming the historic landmark we consider it. You'll need a solid team to handle different aspects, but Giggster has you covered when it comes to finding an ideal venue. Understanding the pros and staying ahead of the cons can help you pull off a buzz-worthy and unforgettable event.

Advantages

  • Most music venues are available in a ready-made package, with everything needed to put on a show. It saves the time and effort you would otherwise spend building a stage or working the lighting setup.

  • Many event spaces can host festivals, providing a range of options suited to different needs. Giggster makes the venue search process straightforward; use our website filters to browse listings in any U.S. city and other countries.

  • Festivals create a platform for budding and established artists to hone their skills and entertain guests. The top spaces in any city can create the buzz needed to attract the right crowd, and we can help you rent a marketable venue.

Disadvantages

  • Guests decide whether to attend an event depending on where it's happening. Therefore, you might spend too much time looking for the best venue. Giggster ensures you get past that stage by listing the best event spaces in most cities across the globe.

  • Festival planners must apply for different permits depending on the function's nature and the city's location. This process can cause delays, but Giggster's cancellation protection plan can cover your bases.

  • You'll need crowd and traffic control measures, which might add to your overall expenses.

Planning Your Festival

The festival planning process is a unique experience, with many moving parts producing a sold-out and memorable event. Giggster is ready to help with your first concern: exploring our vast festival venues to find a suitable location. Once you have a venue, use these guidelines to plan a festival that will be the talk of the town.

  • Get Permits – Most cities require permits for live music events, so check the local regulations to find out what you need and how to apply. You might also need food and alcohol permits, among other licenses and permissions.

  • Implement Safety Measures – Festivalgoers can become charged crowds; anything can happen in such settings. You'll need iron-clad security plans for everything from ticketing to securing stage areas and maintaining order.

  • Have an Event Program – While festivals are all about entertainment, you'll need a schedule outlining when everything should happen. A map of the venue, directing guests to where they can get food, park, and access restrooms, is helpful.

  • Provide a Memorable Audience Experience – The showcase should be entertaining and the event's main focus. Still, there are many ways to give the audience a red-carpet experience. Speaking of red carpets, station fun photoshoot areas around the space related to the function.

How to Save Money on a Festival

You probably have a decent festival budget, but many costs can creep up during planning. Giggster can connect you with affordable festival venues in New York or any other city you want, helping you save money. With that handled, here are our suggestions to reduce costs when planning your live music event.

Partner with local vendors.

Festivals are a platform for businesses to market themselves besides the main show. Contact local businesses for partnerships or sponsorship deals.

Market on social media.

Social media can help more people know about your event. It's also significantly cheaper than printing massive amounts of posters to distribute around the city or filming a TV ad.

Use technology.

Online ticketing and check-in can reduce your expenses. Many ticket sale platforms can also help you reduce your budget further.
